Questionnaire
1.1. After new strategic ways of UNITWIN program, on 176th session of executive council of UNESCO in April 2007 priorities where given to:
· Dual function of UNESCO chairs and UNITWIN networks as "brain center” and "bridge-builders” among academic people, civil society, local associations, scientific development and politics. 2009-2011 activity
· Work with partners (universities, public institutions, state bodies and media)
· Training and retraining of journalists
· Preparing and introducing international standards in journalism and communications
· Working in the sphere of new media and social networks
· Creating data center of Kazakhstan scientists in journalism sphere
· Websites functioning
· Participating in social networks on UNESCO topics
· Edition of new books
· Conducting conferences, seminars, trainings, round tables and discussions
 
Results:
· The work of UNESCO chair was performed together with partners towards all directions
· 2009 – 120 journalists trained; 2010 – 65 journalists trained; 2011 – 72 journalists trained
· 10 work programs on Russian, 6 programs on Kazakh are being prepared and introduced in 2010-2011
· 2 seminars on new media on Kazakh language where conducted in 2011
· Journalism scientists databank was created in 2011
· Three websites functioning
· 2009 – 7 works (books) are published; 2010 – 12 works published; 2011 – 7 works published
· 2009-2011: 4 international conferences; 8 seminars and trainings; 5 round tables and 2 discussion sessions
 
1.2. Modernizing Kazakh National University and higher education in Kazakhstan
1.3. KazNU collects all reports of UNESCO chair
1.4. Discussion on the role of UNESCO chair for higher education
2.1. Executing all priority objectives by UNESCO chair
2.2. All reports show the partnership between academic people, public, mass-media, scientific developments and politics. Solving problems connected with introduction of international journalism standards into education, new media, cultural, education and tolerance issues.
2.3. Almost all problems are being solved together with National Commission of UNESCO and ISESCO and UNESCO Cluster office in Almaty In 2011, about 3-4 times a week, issues of chair activities where discussed with National Commission of UNESCO and ISESCO and UNESCO Cluster office in Almaty The effectiveness of UNESCO chair is obvious looking at the results of activities. Which is: organizing and working of websites, preparation and publishing textbooks and works devoted to methodical recommendations, political books, mass-media, culture, social and other subjects. Help to improve the impact of chair could be support of university in financial sphere and increasing number of staff
4.1. Logo and name are used in time of conferences, seminars, trainings, round tables, discussions. Also at publications of chair and official chair documentation. Everything is agreed with UNESCO Cluster office in Almaty.
4.2. UNESCO Cluster office in Almaty has acquainted the chair about the rules and regulations regarding the use of name and logo
5.1. We are applying to get informational support of UNESCO line about mass-media issues. Organizing and conducting online conferences devoted to new media. Introducing new standards of journalistic education is necessary in most countries of Bologna process or OSCE countries. Collection of educative information and developing new mass-media in OSCE countries is necessary.
5.2. Creating a number of journalism programs on international standards. Working out a databank of professors, scientists and journalists in Central Asia
